Food Systems Dialogues in Yemen
During the period from November 2021 and July 2022, the SUN-Yemen Secretariat has organized a number of workshops and expanded meetings on the national food systems dialogues:
The dialogues in all focused on the following themes:
Building national food systems, by strengthening infrastructure, information, communication, coordination and learning.
Ending hunger in Yemen,by reducing food insecurity levels and raising incomes
Access to nutritious and healthy food, particularly for the most vulnerable groups such as women (mothers and adolescent girls), children and the elderly
Food safety, along the value chains of food systems (from seed to table).
Public policies and national strategies, to strengthen food control and interventions (from production to consumption)
Effective integration and coordination across strategic partnerships ,between government, community and international partners to build sustainable food systems
Raising the demand for healthy and nutritious food, and changing behavior and practices towards healthy nutrition.
